Chris spent many years as a Senior Change Manager in corporate HR across top tier legal and financial institutions in London and Sydney before moving into psychological practice. Initial work over several years involved supporting job seekers to address significant psychological barriers and concerns, in addition to providing vocational and career guidance. This work utilised a goal-oriented and brief solution-focused approach, to support quick and effective strategies towards wellness, and utilised a variety of psychotherapeutic interventions.

Chris has been trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) and Mindfulness approaches, and adopts a supportive, strengths-based approach to psychological therapy. He has experience of treating a wide range of mental health problems including depression, anxiety, panic disorder, specific phobias (including public speaking), self-esteem/confidence, relationship difficulties and work-related stress.

Chris has spent an extended period of time undertaking neuropsychological work assisting young and older adults with suspected intellectual impairment. This work required extensive psychometric testing, supportive psychological counselling and liaison with numerous medical professionals to identify underlying concerns in order to provide corrective supports and ongoing care as required.

More recently, alongside private consultation in the LGBT charity sector, Chris has focused on workplace psychology where he has gained experience as an executive coach, offering solution-focused psychological support. Additionally, he has developed and facilitated a range of mental health workshops including resilience, mindfulness, feedback management and interpersonal dynamics. He has also assisted many organisations to improve psychological health and safety compliance by working closely with key stakeholders to identify and remediate workplace psychological risk factors.

Chris has a supportive, non-judgemental and empathic style. He believes in empowering clients through strategies to raise self-awareness and through the provision of practical, everyday psychological tools.
