Marta is a qualified Counselling Psychologist, registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS). She trained for her Doctoral degree at Roehampton University in London, and has 10 years' experience working within both the private and public health sector.

Marta is an enthusiastic, warm and approachable practitioner with a passion for supporting individuals at various stages of their lives. She prides herself in her welcoming and professional approach. Her main aim is to provide clients with a non-judgmental, calm and safe environment where they can open up about their difficulties and explore their vulnerability. She is a skilled practitioner trained in various approaches, which she integrates to suit individuals' needs, including Psychodynamic approaches, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and Person- centred.

In her time as a Counselling Psychologist and previously a Counsellor, Marta has worked with clients from various ethnical and cultural backgrounds suffering from: anxiety, OCD, depression, PTSD, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, paranoid schizophrenia, sexual abuse, chronic illness, bereavement, addictions, eating disorders and many more. She also has first hand experience of working within fast paced corporate environments. She finds that experience helpful when working with individuals struggling with work-related stress and anxiety.

Marta has a specialist interest in working with clients who are going through a period of major adjustment or a transitional phase in their lives. In the past, she conducted research on adjustment to long-term illness and also on the effects of attachment in romantic relationships.
