Media Services
There are a number of different roles that our psychologists can fill when working with the media. Amongst other services, we are available to provide:
- Commentary and psychological insight on everyday behaviours, a wide range of psychological problems, celebrity conduct and breaking news incidents all backed up by scientific evidence and research - we are available to be interviewed and quoted for newspaper articles and magazine features. We can also provide commentary and analysis while being interviewed on camera or radio for pre-recorded footage or live television/radio programmes.
- Advice and assistance in generating new ideas. We are committed to updating ourselves with the latest insights and ideas from psychology. We can offer the media fresh inspiration for projects that may still be in their early stages. We can offer advice on how projects and formats might be best carried out and how situations and environments may be changed to get the most out of a particular experiment or to make them more suitable for a particular audience.
- Support in the selection and screening of participants and crews for television and radio programmes. We are able to assess and treat the mental health and emotional well being of participants and we can work both behind and in front of the camera to ensure the psychological well-being of participants and television crews. We can also take responsibility for the mental health of the participants and crew once contribution has finished with our 'media-debriefing counselling service'.
