Catia originally trained as a Clinical Psychologist at Padova University in Italy. She is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and a Registered Practitioner Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

Catia is a highly trained Clinical Psychologist who has over 10 years clinical experience working in the NHS. She has developed a high level of expertise in working with people experiencing a range of complex emotional and psychological difficulties. She has extensive experience of working with adults, older adults, couples, children, young people and their families, as well as individuals with learning disabilities. She has worked across a range of settings including primary care, inpatient, community and specialist mental health services. Alongside her clinical work at CPG, she also works as a Senior Clinical Psychologist in a specialised child and adolescent mental health service at Great Ormond Street Hospital, London. She continues to be involved in teaching and provides training placements and supervision for Clinical Psychologists in training as well as other qualified Clinical Psychologists.

Catia is highly proficient in being able to assist adults with anxiety, panic, OCD, depression, anger issues, work-related stress, relationship difficulties, low-self esteem, and those that may lack satisfaction in their life. She also has expertise in treating a range of adolescent mental health difficulties and has a specialist interest in offering assessment and assistance to those with autism spectrum conditions.

Catia is dedicated to understanding what gets in the way of people achieving what truly matters to them and providing appropriate evidence-based psychological therapy to help them to achieve their goals, move forwards in their life and improve their well-being. In her work, she will draw on a range of therapeutic approaches and techniques including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Behavioural and other Mindfulness-based approaches.

Catia has been successful in designing and developing a unique and specialised intervention that integrates CBT for young people with parenting techniques, including strategies for managing difficult behaviours in children/adolescents and improving the parent/child relationship.

Catia is passionate about her work and she truly enjoys what she does. She is a warm and skilled practitioner psychologist. Her strengths are her abilities to offer insight, unconditional support, highly effective, brief and time-limited therapy in a safe and contained space where she supports individuals in bringing meaningful change into their lives.
