Daksha obtained her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Royal Holloway, University of London and worked for the National Health Service in UK for over 10 years before going into full time private practice. Her sound academic background coupled with excellent empathetic and interpersonal skills have been reported to be some of the pillars under which her practice has flourished. She is an Associate Fellow of the BPS (British Psychological Society) and a fully registered Practitioner Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

With a firm belief in human strength and the ability to find solutions, Daksha's main psychotherapeutic approaches range from brief solution focused therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy with mindfulness and increasingly the third wave acceptance and commitment therapy. She places a strong focus on keeping abreast with the latest evidence based psychotherapies to ensure her clients move towards their best hopes and potential in a fast and effective way.

Daksha's extensive experience over several years has resulted in her specialties in Adult and Adolescent Mental Health, Health and Neuropsychology. She has worked frequently with stress, burnout, anxiety, depression, low self esteem, perfectionism, obsessive compulsive disorder, domestic violence, drug and alcohol addiction, insomnia, chronic fatigue, HIV, chronic pain and acquired as well as degenerative neurological conditions such as head injury, stokes, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease and dementia assessments. She currently continues to provide neuropsychological consultations for International Schools in East Africa with regards to educational and special needs assessments for children as well as adults.

Daksha has worked with individuals, couples, families, corporate businesses, banks, schools, universities, international aid and diplomatic agencies during the course of her 7 years in private practice. No challenge faced by her clients, whatever their social standing, has been small enough to be disregarded or big enough to be evaded.

Daksha is an experienced, committed, enthusiastic and effective Clinical Psychologist who has abided by good clinical and professional practice guidelines throughout her career in order to provide a safe and contained space where clients can move towards their best hopes in life.
