Fees and Insurance

If you are paying fees yourself, payment for each consultation can be made either in advance or on the day of the appointment by cheque, bank transfer, cash or online with your credit/debit card (please also see 'Pay an Invoice').

If you have private healthcare insurance, our consultants hold recognition as providers of healthcare in the field of psychology with all the major insurance companies. Our office will assist you in arranging for the costs of your appointments to be covered under your insurance. If your policy covers a percentage of your consultations, please be aware that responsibility for payment lies with you. (Please also see Terms & Conditions).

Some insurance companies require a formal referral from a GP or psychiatrist to validate a claim to see a psychologist. In this case, we will provide you with information with regards to a number of specialist colleagues whom we work closely with and recommend. If you are unsure of the procedures adopted by your insurers, please contact them beforehand to check any necessary steps to be taken to pre-authorise your sessions.

Please note: initial consultations for individual psychological therapy and coaching are charged at a higher rate than follow up appointments. Fees can vary according to the individual practitioner and are calculated on the level of experience, professional training and demand of a particular practitioner. Shorter term psychological therapy and coaching may be charged at a higher rate than long-term work. We are able to negotiate reduced fees on a sliding scale depending on financial circumstances, and can point you in the right direction towards colleagues who may offer lower rates (Please also see Useful Links).

Please email or telephone us on 0845 0177 838 for further details on our rates.
