Lirona Rosenthal BA (Hons) MA ClinPsych

Lirona is both a Clinical and Counselling Psychologist, registered with the Health and Care Professions Council, UK. She earned her Masters in Clinical Psychology from Tel-Aviv University, Israel where she is also licensed to practice, and is a Clinical Psychologist certified by the Israeli Ministry of Health. She has further extensive and advanced professional training in Couples' Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She is also a qualified Focusing Oriented Therapist (FOT), certified by the Focusing Organization. Lirona is an integrative practitioner psychologist combining psychoanalytic foundations with contextual (Third Wave) Cognitive Behavioural Therapies (CBT), mindfulness and body related approaches.

Lirona has ten years of clinical experience practicing in a psychiatric hospital and running her own successful private practice in Israel, treating a wide range of people. She is skilled in providing short and long term psychological therapy to a vast range of psychological conditions such as: anxiety, depression, work-related stress, substance misuse, eating disorders, body image problems, PTSD, life crisis events, the emotional impact of fertility treatment, low self-esteem, procrastination, excessive perfectionism and more.

In addition, Lirona has exceptional expertise in helping people to find self-fulfillment and their full potential in their chosen careers and other fields of interest. She is also a highly skilled and experienced relationship therapist, helping both individuals and couples to deal with commitment issues, create meaningful relationships, resolve conflicts and revive love and passion in their lives. Furthermore, Lirona is highly experienced in addressing gender and diversity issues, particularly with LGBTQ community members and with clients dealing with disability. She is particularly proficient in helping people to deal with body image problems and LGBTQ issues, at both an individual and socio-cultural level.

Lirona views psychological therapy as a 'mountain track', a magnificent breathtaking journey within one's mind that may go through rough challenging passes and lead to new, surprising territories never visited before, bringing opportunities for fully realising one's potential. As a therapist, Lirona will be a confident and experienced guide who knows how to safely explore rough grounds, and new territories, while gently guiding her clients through this journey. The route is new and unique to each of her clients, but the challenges and hardships of the journey can be navigated safely when she escorts them with her experience, compassion, knowledge.
