Online Therapy with Skype

Online Therapy with Skype

Doing therapy online via Skype, is just like coming along for an 'in person' therapy session; however there is none of the inconvenience of leaving your home or even place or work! This means that you can now see one of London's top Psychologists from CPG no matter where you are based in the world, at the click of a button. We can even help you with the technical aspects of setting up your Skype account (which is free and simple), just ask one of our friendly administration team when you arrange your initial consultation.

Advantages of Online (Skype) Therapy

Some people think that if they aren't in the same room as their psychologist the relationship just won't be the same. The therapeutic relationship is one of the most important factors in therapy, so before offering this service we made sure this wasn't the case. Research indicates that clients who use online (Skype) Therapy actually report that they rapidly develop a strong and effective relationship with their therapist, even over the telephone, and with the service we offer, you and your therapist will be able to see each other and interact using all aspects of visual communication (i.e. eye contact, body language etc).

Our experienced psychologists know just how to ensure you feel comfortable, and they will talk through any concerns you may have in your initial consultation. Embarking on therapy is often anxiety-provoking, and we are skilled at addressing any concerns you have from the outset, whether you are in our offices or online!
Research highlights that technological change and advancement is always met with some resistance, just think if ten years ago someone told us that smartphones would be just the norm in our society!

Some advantages satisfied clients of online (Skype) therapy have reported include the anonymity associated with an online therapeutic relationship (no waiting rooms!), decreased travel and lost work time, shorter wait times to be seen, and a greater sense of personal control over sessions. Also, remote therapy is accessible for people suffering from conditions which make it difficult to travel such as physical disabilities or certain anxieties and Agoraphobia.
Finally, with regularity and consistency of sessions being one of the most important aspects of therapy, for those who travel frequently, this is a perfect way to make sure you can continue your therapy without those annoying breaks that may hinder your progress.

What can Online (Skype) therapy help with
