I am a psychologist with a warm and compassionate approach, here to provide a safe space for clients to explore and make sense of the difficulties they are experiencing.

About Me
Research & Publications

I am interested in an individual’s personal history and their social and cultural context, and how this shapes relationships, roles and values. I work flexibly and collaboratively with clients, with a strong emphasis on cultivating awareness, resilience, and integration between body and mind. I believe that talking therapies can help connect individuals with their inner wisdom and support them towards their desired way of living.

Bella has an integrative approach to her work, drawing on a range of psychological theories to work with a variety of presenting issues such as: stress within the work place; relationship difficulties; existential crises; traumatic experiences; and the full range of mental health problems including anxiety and depression.  She uses a strengths-based approach and incorporates mindfulness throughout her practice.  Bella’s preferred approaches include: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT); Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT); Dialetical Behavioural Therapy (DBT); Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET).

Bella has worked in a range of settings across mental health and social care settings, and with individuals of all ages and their families. She has held positions with the Integrated Gangs Team at Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust, children’s social care and child and adolescent mental health services at East London NHS Foundation Trust, and personality disorder services and indigenous mental health services in New Zealand.
