I am a Clinical Psychologist born and raised in New Zealand, and now living in the UK. I have been privileged to work across various settings supporting clients with a wide range of challenges, experiences, and backgrounds. In my work, I aim to offer an authentic therapeutic connection alongside evidence-based and tailored psychological therapy to help people navigate challenges and live a life meaningful to them.

As a Clinical Psychologist, Oscar is trained in several evidence-based psychological therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR). Oscar takes an integrative approach to psychological therapy, drawing on these approaches to best meet the needs of the individual.

Oscar has expertise in supporting people experiencing a range of difficulties, including anxiety, depression, phobias, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), eating disorders, stress and burnout, relationship issues, perfectionism, low self-confidence, and feeling generally stuck or unclear in life.

Oscar has experience working with people across the lifespan and from various cultural backgrounds. He is experienced in working alongside men and LGBTQIA+ people experiencing mental health difficulties.

Oscar completed his Clinical Psychology training in New Zealand in 2018. Since then, he has worked in primary, secondary, and inpatient care settings, including a university health service, a community mental health team, and an acute inpatient psychiatric unit. He provided assessment and therapy for adults experiencing a range of mental health difficulties, including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, psychosis, bipolar disorder, and eating disorders.

Since moving to the UK, Oscar has been working in the NHS and continues to do so on a part-time basis.
