I am a warm and empathetic practitioner and offer a supportive, trusting, and non-judgmental space to help my clients feel safe to explore their difficulties. I am passionate about what I do and dedicated to my work with each of my clients. 

Regardless of the style of therapy, I focus on helping my clients to identify the main problems causing their distress, in order to work through them, move towards change and acceptance, and achieve their goals in therapy. 

My style is based on pluralistic, humanistic, and relational approaches to therapy and counselling. I see every person as a unique individual and tailor the treatment protocol to that individual's specific needs, while drawing on a wide range of evidence-based therapeutic theories and techniques. I am heavily influenced by mindfulness and the significance of context in understanding human behaviour and promoting mental health. 

I enjoy working at CPG because it is a great opportunity to work for an established brand that is a leader in the field of psychology and is committed to helping individuals with a wide range of difficulties from all walks of life by offering evidence-based therapeutic approaches. While I can work and grow individually as a psychologist, I am also part of a big team and an environment that facilitates that growth. I am supported by a great admin team and receive effective supervision to ensure that I am helping my clients in the best way possible.

Izabel has training and experience in a number of psychological therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT), and humanistic and psychodynamic approaches. She is currently training in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). 

Izabel offers both short- and long-term therapy. She has worked with a wide range of psychological difficulties including: work-related stress; agoraphobia; anger; bereavement; depression; emotional abuse; generalised anxiety; health anxiety; hoarding; low self-esteem; obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD); panic disorder; perfectionism; post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD); relationship issues; self-criticism; self-harm; social anxiety; specific phobias; stress; trauma; trichotillomania; lack of assertiveness; lack of focus and motivation; sleep problems; and difficulty in making decisions. 

Izabel has practised as a counselling psychologist within the NHS since 2012. She is particularly interested in working with trauma and relationship-based depression and anxiety. Izabel currently works in a primary care Improving Access to Psychological Therapies service, and has previously worked in secondary care services in the NHS, as well as the voluntary sector.
