From an early age, I have always been fascinated by human behaviour and by observing the people I encountered throughout life. Over time, this curiosity developed into a deep passion for understanding how individuals experience and cope with emotional challenges, relationships, and personal difficulties. As I grew professionally and personally, I came to view therapy as a collaborative journey in which the therapist offers support, guidance, and practical tools that allow individuals to better understand themselves and gradually become therapists of themselves.
I was born and raised in Italy, where I pursued my academic studies in Psychology, always knowing that working within the field of mental health was the path I wanted to dedicate my life to. Following my degree in Psychology, I continued my professional development through specialist training in Psychotherapy, with the aim of providing ethical, evidence-based, and compassionate psychological care.
In 2016, I decided to move to the UK, where a significant journey of both professional and personal growth began. Working within a different healthcare system and multicultural environment further enriched my clinical experience, broadened my perspective, and strengthened my adaptability as a therapist.
I consider the therapeutic relationship to be at the heart of meaningful change. I strive to create a safe, respectful, and non-judgemental environment where clients feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported throughout their therapeutic journey.
Throughout my professional career, I have worked as a Psychologist and Psychotherapist across a variety of clinical and mental health settings, supporting individuals with a broad range of emotional, behavioural, and psychological difficulties.
In Italy, I worked as educational psychologist, within mental health services, and in a forensic psychiatric hospital setting, gaining experience with complex and acute psychological presentations. Since moving to the UK, I have continued to expand my clinical experience across acute settings, primary care, and secondary care services.
I have worked with adults, adolescents, and families from diverse cultural and social backgrounds, supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional dysregulation, stress-related difficulties, relationship challenges, low self-esteem, grief, and life transitions.
My work has included psychological assessment, risk management, case formulation, individual psychotherapy, psychoeducation, multidisciplinary collaboration, and the development of personalised treatment plans tailored to each client’s needs. Working across different services and levels of care has strengthened my ability to work flexibly, collaboratively, and with sensitivity towards the unique experiences of each individual.
My therapeutic expertise includes Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing). I integrate evidence-based approaches while recognising that every individual is unique, and therefore therapy should never follow a rigid or standardised model.
I strongly believe in tailoring therapy according to each person’s specific difficulties, emotional needs, personal history, and therapeutic goals. My approach combines psychological knowledge with empathy, active listening, and collaboration, helping clients develop greater self-awareness, emotional resilience, and healthier coping strategies.
I view therapy as a journey of self-discovery and personal growth, where clients are empowered to better understand themselves, strengthen their inner resources, and create meaningful and lasting change in their lives.
