I'm a Clinical Psychologist with over ten years' experience across the NHS, public health, and private practice in Singapore and the UK. I work predominantly with children, adolescents, and their families, particularly those facing complex and long-standing difficulties such as eating disorders, trauma, OCD, and anxiety, often alongside neurodevelopmental conditions like ADHD and autism.
I believe it takes courage to come to therapy, and that the most important thing I can offer is a genuine connection. My approach is collaborative, grounded in a strong evidence base, and adapted to each person and the people who support them, to help them work through life's difficulties.
Vidhya is trained in a range of evidence-based therapies, including CBT, ACT, TF-CBT, and eating-disorder specific approaches such as CBT-E and FBT, taking an integrative approach tailored to each individual. She has particular expertise in complex, severe, and enduring conditions, including eating disorders, trauma, OCD, and anxiety disorders, frequently alongside co-occurring neurodivergence. Alongside therapy, she is also experienced in cognitive assessments.
Vidhya also brings substantial experience as a clinical supervisor, having provided supervision and training to trainee clinical psychologists, clinical associates in applied psychology, and other healthcare professionals, school counsellors, and third-sector staff.
Vidhya began her career as a nurse before moving into psychology, drawn by the holistic connection between physical and mental health. She started out as a Research Psychologist at Singapore's Institute of Mental Health, before completing her clinical psychology training in Australia.
Since then, she has worked within child and adolescent community mental health services and private practice in Singapore, before relocating to the UK. Prior to joining CPG, she worked in a Tier 3 CAMHS service within NHS Scotland, delivering specialist assessment and treatment for young people with complex mental health and neurodevelopmental needs.
Vidhya has a strong academic background, with peer-reviewed publications spanning eating disorder psychopathology, youth mental health, and psychosis, including in the Journal of Anxiety Disorders, Child and Adolescent Mental Health, and Brain Sciences. She has also contributed to public discourse on youth mental health, including written commentary for Channel News Asia and a panel presentation for Singapore's College of Psychiatrists on the impact of COVID-19 on adolescent mental health.
